Opis

Absolwent kierunku Fizyka Techniczna, dr nauk technicznych, habilitacja z geologii (2000). Zastępca dyrektora Instytutu Fizyki ds. Nauki (2003-2006), obecnie dyrektor (od 2006). Główne dziedziny badań: zastosowania fizyki jądrowej (radiometria i dozymetria), geochronometria, statystyczna analiza danych doświadczalnych i wykorzystanie algorytmów ewolucyjnych w modelowaniu danych, badania zjawisk luminescencji, datowanie luminescencyjne obiektów geologicznych i archeologicznych, datowanie metodą Pb-210, wykorzystanie Cs-137 w badaniach erozji gleb. Wykładowca geofizyki i metod analizy danych doświadczalnych na kierunku Fizyka Techniczna, metrologii i techniki eksperymentu (Elektronika i Telekomunikacja), metod datowania bezwzględnego (studia MADA) oraz fizyki ogólnej.

Osiągnięcia

Przebywał na stażach naukowych IAEA (Dania) oraz Daybreaka (USA). Uczestnik i wykonawca projektów w 5. i 6. Programie Ramowym oraz koordynator i wykonawca projektów KBN i MNiSzW. Promotor 4 prac doktorskich.
